5 Things We Learned at AHR 2025

As always, the annual AHR conference was a real high point for our team. We met with many of the custom AHU manufacturers and rep firms that already use Kinetix Air and Kinetix PreSelect to discuss their experience using the platform and to present some of this year’s new capabilities (like our AI Design Accelerator Bot). We had a chance to talk to many of our partners and component manufacturers about new avenues for collaboration. And, like at any good industry event, we got to meet with many other AHU manufacturers and rep firms who had heard about Kinetix Air and Kinetix Air Pre-Select and wanted to find out what all the buzz is about.

5 Learnings from AHR

When we attend a show, we always try to keep our eyes and especially our ears open and learn as much as we can because this is the one time in the year that we get to talk to so many industry professionals about Kinetix Air and about everything that is going on in the industry. We wanted to share a few of the key things we saw and heard.

Even in the HVAC world, AI is a hot-button issue. Reaction to our new AI Design Accelerator Bot was overwhelmingly enthusiastic, with both prospects and existing clients confirming that this sort of smart, assistive functionality would power a new wave of productivity gains in the industry.
Component manufacturers see the value of having their products represented in a platform like Kinetix Air/PreSelect. Over the three days of the show, we were approached by a slew of component manufacturers who were interested in getting their products onto our platform, and many of the manufacturers who are already on the platform dropped by to discuss adding new product lines. This year, a new component that many custom AHU manufacturers were asking about was Desiccant Wheels. Desiccant Wheels were already on our radar to add to the platform, but given the level of interest, we’ll be adding them to our 2025 product roadmap.
Industry insiders seemed to feel very positively about market conditions for 2025, and most of the discussions we had centered around expansion plans, improving productivity, and building capacity to capture new opportunities.
Last year, we talked to several larger custom AHU manufacturers who, after evaluating the selection software on the market, felt they would be better served developing their own bespoke design and selection platform. This year, several of those companies came to visit us in our booth with renewed interest in Kinetix Air. The stories they told us were remarkably similar, with delays and cost overruns killing or at least pausing their internal development efforts.

As always, AHR was an amazing experience and a crucial one for a young company like ours. We can’t wait to see you and talk to you again at next year’s AHR in Vegas!
